Sharing Books to Google Classroom

If you are using Google Classroom, you can now incorporate content from our platform into your Classroom courses with the click of a button. Sharing to Google Classroom is offered as a free service.

 

To share content through Google Classroom, click on the Share page tool once inside of a book or using the share tool from the search results page.

Once the pop up appears, click the Google Classroom Link as shown below.

You must have a Google Classroom account to use this service.

If you are not already logged into Google, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account.  Once you have successfully signed in, you will be presented with a drop down menu to Choose a class. After selecting your desired class, click the Go button.

Next you will be presented with a Choose action drop down menu.  This menu allows you to select how you want to share your chosen content.

 

Make your selection and click the Go button to proceed.

Your four choices of action are:

 

  • Create assignment

  • Ask question

  • Make an announcement

  • Create Material

Google Classroom automatically will pull in the link for the content you are embedding.  Although the thumbnail is a picture of the eBook Login screen and the title of the link is "Login- Infobase eBooks", the link will take you to the correct shared content.

 

Clicking the blue button will post the record to your class.  You will be taken to a confirmation page with a View button. Click the View button to view your course.

The most recent shared action will appear at the top of your course as shown below:
